Christian Bodo militants lined up and killed 12 Hindu bus passengers in Assam

Shonitpur: 13 Hindu civilians and all bus passengers, have been lined up and shot dead by The Christian dominated Bodo militant group NDFB, in Shonitpur district of Assam.
The incident occured at Sejusa, along Assam-Arunachal border and Dhekiajuli.
District Commissioner Rajesh Prasad said Seven passengers were killed in one incident, five in another.
NDFB had issued repeated warnings last week that it would kill 25 people to take revenge of the death of its cadre.
NDFB is very active in Shonitpur district. Shonitpur(Or say Tezpur)is the headquarter of the Army's 4th Corp.
NDFB Chairman Ranjan Daimary is presently in Assam government custody.
The NDFB is responsible for October 30, 2008 serial blasts at Guwahati and Dispur. Till 2008, NDFB were in a ceasefire agreement with Government of India.
Other Bodo militant outfit Bodo Liberation Tigers(BLT) which has total Hindu cadres means Bathou cadres(Bathou is ancient religious faith of Bodos worshipping Shiva) has surrendered in 2002 and BLT desbanded by it's leadership to merge itself in to national mainstream.
Turmoil in Kelshi-Two Muslim Groups clashed,Police vehicle Attacked
Yesterday,on November 7,2010 two Muslim groups clashed with each other at very sensitive village of Kelshi in Dapoli tehsil of Ratnagiri district.There are two groups in Muslim community of Kelshi since last so many years and frequent conflict occurs at regular intervals.But yesterdays clash has wider effects which needed Police intervention.
Initially Police intervened in timely manner but mob attacked Police party and heavy stone pelting occurred on Police vehicle injuring Police personnel.Then Police deployed almost 100 constables and used force to control the mob.Police assorted lathi charge in which few persons injured.
High ranking Police officers are camping at Kelshi to avoid any wider outbreak of Hindu-Muslim conflict as it happened two years ago.
At present situation is under control but very much tense.
