The Union ministry for home alerted Indian defence ministry for an aggressive spy ring operated by Pakistani ISI, trying to drag ex-servicemen in to the trap by providing jobs and financial aid by Damini McNaught
Acting rapidly on intelligence inputs, home ministry conveyed a fake group of ex-servicemen has been formed all over North India promising jobs and financial help to former soldiers.
Officers said the group initially assisted few ex-servicemen, but silently expressed interest in gathering information related to various defence formations and installations.
The promoter persons of the organization also asked few former soldiers to be in touch with still serving force colleagues and to gather information related to field formation, creating suspicion in the ex-servicemen.
The Union home ministry also asked Indian defense ministry to inquire in to matter to take suitable stern action, disclosed sources.
This has focused as ongoing inquiry in spy ring which is involved in a leading aircraft service man within the Indian Air Force deployed at Bhatinda.
The sacked Air Force officer, Ranjith KK, who was allegedly sent classified information with Pakistani intelligence operatives which are suspected to be supported by Pakistani ISI agency after getting "honey trapped" in an espionage ring, arrested from Bhatinda- Punjab by Special Delhi Police.
