Corruption Exposed in Indian Media-Barkha Dutt-Vir Sanghvi-Nira Radia Tapes exposed
The Barkha-Vir-Nira tapes have created a storm in the tea-cup. The nation, already reeling under the spectrum scam, where an ex-minister is being openly accused of a massive misappropriation of public exchequer, has got a further jolt when it comes to hear these kinds of tapes where Barkha Dutt, the renowned, massively respected and recognized star-reporter of NDTV has been heard talking to Nira Radia on issues concerning formation of Ministry. Not one or two but five such tapes have come in public realm. Similarly at least one tape of conversation between Vir Sanghvi, the authoritative and moralistic Editor-in-chief of Hindustan Times and Nira has got leaked.
In all these tapes, Nira is heard talking to these two journalists about the composition of the Central government ministry, particularly with reference to one political party from Tamil Nadu. She is heard requesting these legendary people to talk to influential people in the Center about getting a few particular members of that political party inducted in the Central ministry. These two people are heard assuring Nira to do the needful. They are heard brining up some particular names who are believed to be very powerful in the political structure and telling Nira that they could do their best to help her out. To quote a few parts of the conversations between Nira and Barkha-
“RADIA: No, they wanted to; they didn’t want any infrastructure, that’s what Prime Minister said, so he said that’s why they give him labour, fertiliser, chemical—and telecom, IT, they said for Raja. So what has happened is, is that message not relayed to Karunanidhi?
BARKHA: Oh I see!
RADIA: They might have told some minion down the line or told Maran who is not relaying the truth.
BARKHA: No, I’ll set it up as soon as they get out of RCR.
RADIA: What she saying is that, you know, that someone senior like Ghulam (Nabi Azad, senior Congress leader) because he is the one who is authorised to speak. ….
BARKHA: Theek hai, not a problem. That’s not a problem, I’ll talk to Azad—I’ll talk to Azad right after I get out of RCR [Race Course Road, presumably, the PM’s residence].
Similarly, some part of the Vir Shanghvi- Nira conversation goes like this-
Radia- “They had a meeting. I had suggested of Kani only. They talk about 4 formula and 1 independent. There was no issue. He has clarified everything that you had told them. There was a lot of relief from the Chief Minister’s side. But he is still under great pressure from Maran.”
Vir-“Where is it coming from?”
Radia-“It is coming from Stalin and his sisster Salvi. They have given 600 crore to Dayalu’s mother.”
Vir- “600 crores! It is hard to argue with that kind of pressure.”
Vir-“Basically what they want is a little bit more flexibility. One more Cabinet, I suppose.”
Radia- “If they stick to 3 and Kani gets independent, then Alaghiri, Baalu and Raja come in.”
Vir-“That is not so bad unless Maran is one of the Cabinets.”
Radia- “Because Baalu and Raja thing is spread by Maran. If Narayan was to come back tomorrow, let us look for Alaghiri, Baalu and Raja.”
Vir-“Actually Narayan anyway will talk to PM. He will not talk to Congress President. PMO will send feedback to Congress Party.”
Radia- “So they will anyway speak to us, Naa.”
Vir-“yeah, yeah.” .”
After these tapes have come in public, the NDTV on behalf of Barkha and Vir for himself have come in the open to defend themselves. I quote some of the parts of their defence-
“In response to the Open Magazine cover story dated 20th November, 2010 NDTV would like to object in the strongest terms to the clear misrepresentation of conversations between Barkha Dutt and Ms. Nira Radia, that took place in May 2009. In the pursuit of news and information, journalists talk to an array of people from all professional backgrounds; this case being an an unfolding political story on cabinet formation, after the general elections. To caricature the professional sourcing of information as "lobbying" is not just baseless, but preposterous.
At every stage effective journalism involves engagement with a multitude of characters in the process of gathering news and information. To call this process "lobbying" is a serious and defamatory distortion of journalistic practices.”
Vir says-
“Moreover, there is nothing at all in the transcripts to suggest that I lobbied for Mr Raja. The conversations recorded relate to the phase when there was an impasse between the DMK and the Congress. Ms Radia called several journalists, including me, to ask us to convey a message to any Congress leaders we met in the course of our work. This message was, essentially, that the Congress was communicating with the wrong people in the DMK.
While gathering news, journalists talk to a wide variety of sources from all walks of life, especially when a fast-moving story is unfolding. Out of a desire to elicit more information from these sources, we are generally polite.”
While both of them say things to defend themselves, citing the job of a journalist but going through the conversations and the active roles played by each of Barkha and Vir in getting the work done, including talking to the highest quarters in the political echelons one fails to believe if it was mere journalistic work or something much more. At least prima-facie it does not seem palatable that these two people were having such conversations as a part of their journalistic work. This looks more like a foray into unwarranted murky hinterlands of middleman-ship. Though there is not a single word in the conversations that remotely points to exchange of money but the fact that one of these people for whom Barkha in particular and Vir to some extent exercised their influence, later got named in one of the biggest scams known in independent India does make the entire episode very serious. It also brings them under some kind of severe scrutiny and penetrating scanning. This is more so because of the kind of respect these names have been commanding among the Indian masses through their writings and deeds. They, seen as hopes for the Middle class India are found faltering and getting caught in supposedly “dangerous liaisons” in these conversations.
These are the issues that have got generated after the exposure of these tapes. And certainly there seems to be an immediate need to get the matters enquired so that the roles of these two people gets clarified.
At the same time, this episode has also generated the issue of judicial impropriety and the need for a moral code of conduct for the journalists. Each role has a definite set of duties assigned to it. By no stretch of imagination can we assume that the role of a journalist is to play a role in the formation of Ministries. So, if such things are found, it does raise eye-brows ?
S M Mushrif summoned to Mumbai High Court for his book
While hearing petition made by Mrs Jyoti Badekar, Justice B S Marlapalle and Justice R Y Ganu ordered retired Police Officer S M Mushrif to present himself before court to give clarifications about his allegations made in the book "Who Killed Karkare?" Also court asked if former Police officer makes anti-national statements then why government didn't took action against him?Whether government has no courage to take action against officer who is making pro-Pakistani and anti-India references in his book.
While submitting affidavit to High Court,Mumbai Police Commissioner has said that Police didn't found any evidence proving Abhinav Bharat or any other Hindu organisation's complacency in Hemant Karkare's murder.
Petitioner had demanded that Mushrif claims should be investigated and involvement of locals be thoroughly investigated in 26/11 Mumbai Attack.
Also Bench asked Public Prosecutor Pandurang Pol,if government thinks that Mushrif's statement has no meaning then did government took any action?or filed FIR against him?If not then how you came to know that his statements has no content? And if you gets convinced that Mushrif's statements has no content then take action against him for spoiling our time.

Legal Notice to Home Minister Rajasthan by Indresh Kumar(RSS Pracharak)
To
The Home Minister,
Rajasthan Secretariat
Government of Rajasthan,
Jaipur
Sir,
On behalf of and on instructions from my Client Shri Indresh Kumar Pracharak, Rashtriya SwayamSevak Sangh, I hereby serve you with this Legal Notice as under:
1. The Times of India in its edition of 28.10.2010 reported you having made the following statement:
“He (Mr. Indresh) gave guidelines about triggering the blast. He decided who will make the bomb, who will trigger it, who will provide the money and the mobile and who will handle the media.”
2. Actuated by malice you have deliberately committed a breach of duty owed to my client knowing you have no power to so to do and in any event with reckless indifference to the same.
3. Dissimulating facts you are trumping up charges against my client disguising them as legal process which is but a cloak for your political agenda and that agenda is controlling “investigation” into offences like Ajmer Blast forcing them to move in a direction which suits your political needs.
4. In deliberately misstating and distorting the Chargesheet filed in the Ajmer Blast case not only are you substituting your imagination for what is stated therein but revealing your intent to coerce the investigating agency to toe your line and thrust an offence onto our client and portray him to be an offender by any means necessary, the illegality of the same notwithstanding.
5. This explains a statement attributed to the Chief Minister that our client will soon be called for investigation. Your intent having been revealed in your statement the so called investigation would only be a ritual performed under your guidance there being a predisposition to hold my client culpable, the facts of the case notwithstanding.
6. You and the Chief Minister seem oblivious and unconcerned by the fact that the investigation has culminated in a Chargesheet which lists out the accused sent to trial and those against whom investigation is still pending and my client is in neither category of accused.
7. It is apparent you want to force the investigating agency to change its opinion.
8. The said Chargesheet lists the following as Accused:
I Devendra Gupta @ Bobby @ Ramesh s/o Sh SatyaPrakash Gupta, Bihari Ganj, Pahali Gali ke Samne, Ajmer Rajasthan
II ChandraShekhar Leve S/o Sh LakshmiNarayan Leve [Patidar Barot] r/o Vill Chapri, PS Kalapipal, Distt Shajapur, Madhya Pradesh
III Lokesh Sharma @ Kalu @ Ajay @ Abhay S/o Shri Gopal Krishna Sharma r/o 180, Sanghi Street Mahu, PS Mahu, Distt Indore, Madhya Pradesh
The Chargesheet lists the following Accused against whom chargesheet is NOT filed:
I Sandeep Dange @ Vasudev @ Baljit @ Parmanan r/o s/o Sh Vishwas Keshav Dange, r/o 360, Lokmanya Nagar, Indore, Madhya Pradesh
II RamChandra @ Ramji s/o Shri Gopal Singh r/o Vill Gopipur, Distt Shajapur, Madhya Pradesh Hall 21,22 Shanti Vihar Colony, Kanadiya Road, and
26 Shriram Nagar, Near Bengali Chauraha, Indore Madhya Pradesh
III Late Sunil Joshi @ Manoj @ Guruji s/o Shri Shyam Lal Joshi r/o G 7, HIG, Vikas Nagar, Dewas Madhya Pradesh.
9. The Chargesheet in paras 5.49-5.54, specifies the role and responsibility of each of the Accused as under:
5.49 As such, from the investigation conducted so far, statements of witnesses, available documents, it is proved that Hindu fundamentalists under the leadership of Swami Aseema Nand, Sanchalak of Shabri Mata Mandir, Ahava, Distt. Dang (Gujarat) formed a terrorist group to take revenge and retaliate the bomb explosions carried by Muslim Terrorist organization at different places all over India and late Sunil Joshi, Sandeep Dange, Ramji Kalsangara, Lokesh Sharma, Pragya Singh, Shivam Dhakar, Samandar and Devendra Gupta and others joined this terrorist outfit as active members.
5.50 This terrorist group held many meetings at Ujjain, Indore, Shabri Dham and Mihijam and hatched a criminal conspiracy and under a well thought strategy under the leadership and guidance of Swami AseemaNand, late Sunil Joshi was entrusted with the responsibility of carrying bomb explosion at Dargah Sharief Ajmer and collecting necessary resources for the same such as explosive material / substance, timer device and other equipments, etc. Sunil Joshi while dividing the work among his other associates entrusted different responsibilities to them to execute this bomb explosion.
5.51 Accused Sandeep Dange and Ram ji Kalsangara were given the responsibility to procure technical knowledge and to make bombs by using necessary resources such as equipments and explosives etc. to carry out the bomb blast at Dargah Sharief Ajmer.
5.52 Devendra Gupta was assigned the work of making available fake IDs for purchasing Mobile Phone and Sim Card to be used as timer device in the bombs to be exploded at Dargah Sharief Ajmer. Accused Devender Gupta selected his earlier area of operation Jamtara (Jharkhand) and Asansol Chitaranjan (West Bengal) for this work and using his contacts in this area. The said Devender Gupta fabricated and forged the fake driving license and voter I- Card and made available the same to late Sunil Joshi and Ramji Kalsangara. By using these fake IDs, Ramji Kalsangara and Sunil Joshi had purchased total 11 SIM Cards from the aforesaid areas out of which 4 SIM Cards were used as timer devices in the bomb blasts at Dargah Sharief Ajmer and Mecca Masjid Hyderabad.
5.53 Accused Lokesh Sharma with Ramji Kalsangara went to Faridabad and Delhi and purchased mobile phones used as timer device in these bomb explosions. Accused Lokesh Sharma along with late Sunil Joshi procured explosive substances to make bombs and actively participated in the meetings to hatch this criminal conspiracy. Lokesh Sharma with Sandeep Dange went to Mecca Masjid Hyderabad and did recce for bomb explosions and identified the spots for plotting bombs.
5.54 It was proved from the investigations that this terror outfit had purchased total 11 SIM cards and 8 Mobile Phones out of which 2 SIM cards got damaged in the blast and 2 SIM Cards have been recovered from the unexploded bombs. So far nothing could be found out about remaining 7 SIM Cards out of the said 11 SIM Cards. Further investigation in this regard is continuing.
10. Admittedly the investigating officer has concluded that our client is not part of any conspiracy and has no role whatsoever in it and a bare perusal of the charge sheet itself demonstrates the absence of any link both with the object of the conspiracy and those intending to achieve it. Your statement is clearly an instance of false memory and substitutes your wish of a state of affairs for a different state of affairs which exists and in which our client has no role.
10.(A) The Chargesheet refers to a meeting in Gujrati Samaj Guesthouse allegedly attended by our client. The Chargesheet, nevertheless, contains no material whatsoever in support of the meeting aforementioned. No document or statement (which together add up to almost a 1000 pages) support, even remotely, the said extract of para 5.13 of the chargesheet. Your statement to the press makes it apparent that a reference has been made to the alleged presence of our client in the so called meeting upon your instigation though there was nothing un-earthed in the investigation.
11. A bare look at the Chargesheet shows that the reference to the meeting has been thrust into it dubiously and deviously and not only is there no link with the chain of events involving the Conspirators–made-accused and others named, the very purpose of the so-called meeting for the professed objective was non-existent, for the reasons revealed in the Chargesheet itself.
12. The extract concerning the meeting is wholly antithetical to the very basis of the Chargesheet.
13. The utter incongruousness of the imputation also becomes apparent when contrasted with the findings of the investigators in Malegaon Blast case where the very persons whom our client is alleged to have addressed had professed the desire to eliminate him for differences in their respective ideology and outlook.
14. In yet making a pointed reference to our client you have unlawfully exercised power motivated by malice targeted at and intended to injure my client aside from showing an awareness that your act will in the ordinary and probable course of events cause injury to my client. You have slandered my client and made a made a calumnious reflection on him.
15. The instant case is not only one of defamatory imputation but deliberate abuse of power. There was no authority in you to do what you did and the injury to our client was the foreseeable and inevitable consequence of the act. The action is one which no honest or reasonable man would have taken.
16. A Pracharak of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and Hindu by religion, our client has always shunned both violence and fundamentalism. It is for this reason that elements of extremist fringe who are accused in Malegaon and have been arrested elsewhere, have not only openly expressed their hostility towards him but also manifested the clear intent to eliminate him.
17. No civilized system can be allowed to play with the lives and reputation of its own people. An allegation so grave, made in a manner so cavalier, without even a shred of evidence in support, inviting public obloquy and ridicule is ex-facie an instance of oppressive, arbitrary and unconstitutional action rendering you liable for malicious, deliberate and injurious wrongdoing.
18. Right to reputation is recognized as a facet of the right to life guaranteed by the Constitution. Aside from other proceedings you are also liable to our client for deprivation of this right. Your liability for this breach arises in Public Law and is created by the Constitution which guarantees protection against such deprivation. The due process of law has been both shamelessly and brazenly violated by you and my client is entitled to make against you, aside from other proceedings available, a claim in public law for compensation for the injury suffered by him. Law civilizes public power and assures citizens that they live under a legal system which protects their interests and preserves their rights. The office never sanctifies the holder and the instant is clearly a case of deliberate wrongdoing.
19. The political interference in the investigation also becomes apparent in your reference to Samjhauta Express. It is apparent you are treating the Chargesheet as an instrument of propaganda meant for address to a particular constituency only and not a legal document which has worth and sanctity outside its political purpose. Aside from the fact that the reference was unnecessary in a Chargesheet dealing with Ajmer Blast the comment is different from the stated position of the Government of India as also findings of the United Nations Security Council that Let was involved in the Samjhauta Express bombing. There is, therefore, reason to assume that this is part of a gambit with the government at the Centre, also ruled by the same political party and hence sharing the same political agenda, to give a witch-hunt the euphemism of investigation.
20. You are acting to seek and persecute my client with complete disregard for his innocence. Any further interference with the legal process, attempt to influence investigation, distortion of facts, fabrication of evidence and making of scurrilous imputations against him will render you and everyone combining with you liable in appropriate legal proceedings. You are also obligated to undo the wrong done and the consequential damage to my client failing which you will be liable, in addition, to exemplary damages and other appropriate legal proceedings our client is entitled in law to institute against you.

Dramatic Change In Kumar Ketkar!!!
Former RSS Chief uttered something objectionable and made personal comment about Congress President Sonia Gandhi. This was golden chance for Loksatta editor Kumar Ketkar to hit Sangh and it's cultural and so called Radical ideology but Ketkar preferred to maintain stoic silence, which factor made Kumar Ketkar so balanced? What made him so patient writer overnight?Where did his Hinduphobia and Sanghphobia went? How is it possible for Ketkar to assume Yogi like silence when one high profile Sangh Leader has given him chance to write what he wants and to score as many credit points as possible at 10 Janapath or say Sonia Darbaar?
Someone might say that there are so issues in Maharashtra to write about.Someone would think that Mr Ketkar don't this issue seriously,or someone would say that Sangh Leader's statement is not so important to comment upon. But the real reason behind Ketkar's silence is something different and new.
But for Sanghphobist and Hinduphobist like Kumar Ketkar, unique agenda is to scold, beat, kick, shot, fire, spit and crucify Sangh irrespective of person, time, day and date, irrespective of presence of other burning issues. But Mr Ketkar has loose this golden chance of hitting Sangh not because of he wanted to ignore what Sangh Leader said but only due to Medical Treatment he is receiving from two experts from Dapoli;Mr N R Shigvan and Mr.M S Mhadalekar.
Mr.Ketkar was suffering from Chronic Psychological Disorder of dragging Sangh into each and every issue irrespective of the relevance of the matter. There was long term treatment available for this disorder but no one was taking it seriously. And finally two Social workers cum Doctors took the much awaited initiative to cure Mr.Ketkar.Both approached legal experts and injected two separate legal notices (Sorry legal Injections!!) to Kumar Ketkar for his 25th October editorial in Loksatta which was Bundle of lies, fabrications, concoctions, baseless analysis, sheer arrogance towards Hindu society and great example of unethical journalism.
It seems,Mr Ketkar would cure fast and initial trends shows that he is recovering fast. The reason behind this prediction is Mr.Ketkar wrote nothing objectionable about Hindus and Sangh in last 48 hours, yes in two full days. Those who knows mr Kumar Ketkar since last so many years are terming it as unprecedented!!!
The old disorder may be erupted during days or weeks to come but initial recovery signs are also extremely positive for well wishers of Mr Kumar Ketkar.
Think For The Better,Prepare For The Worst!!!

Kolkata High Court banned Cow Slaughter
Kolkata 12 November 2010
Murdikar News: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on Friday welcomed a judgement by the Calcutta High Court banning the slaughter of cows for religious purposes.
The weighty judgement comes days ahead of Eid Al-Adhha (Feast of Sacrifice) also known as ‘Bakri-Eid’ being observed by Muslims across India by sacrificing goats and even cows in some places.
The division bench of Chief Justice J N Patel and Justice Asim Ray of the Calcutta High Court on Friday declared the practice of sacrificing cow and its progeny for religious purpose as 'unlawful', the RSS statement said.
The Hindu volunteer organisation added that it expected the judgment to have "far reaching ramifications in the minority-centric domestic politics of West Bengal".

Know Eugeno Myno(Sonia Gandhi) better-Dr. Subramanian Swamy
Patriotic Indians should thank the President of India for having the courage by citing a legal hitch to dissuade Ms. Sonia Gandhi from staking her claim to form the government in May this year. She therefore did not as expected on May 17th become the Prime Minister of 1 billion plus people of India. It can now be said that the nation has been saved from a monumental, devastating, and permanent injury to India’s national interest and patriotic psyche of Indians. And therefore every effort that can be made in a democracy should be made to ensure that Ms. Sonia Gandhi is permanently out of reckoning for any public office. For those who instinctively understand that, this Note is to explain the factual basis for this conclusion, and suggest what patriotic Indians can do now .
My opposition to Ms. Sonia Gandhi is not merely because she is Italian—born. In other democratic countries, including in Italy, such an issue [of foreign-born aspiring to be head of government] would not even arise at all because the issue has already been settled by law, that a person cannot hold the highest public office unless he or she is native born.
In India there is no such law, but the President according to my knowledge, correctly acted on a proviso to Section 5 of the Indian Citizenship Act[1955] which empowers the Union Home Ministry to lay down conditions that apply to Indian citizenship acquired by foreigners by registration, which conditions would be based on the principle of reciprocity, viz., in Ms Gandhi’s case such of those conditions that apply to Indians on becoming citizens of Italy would apply to her.
The President reportedly told her that if she insisted on being invited to form the government, he would want first to clarify, on a reference to the Supreme Court, whether in view of this proviso her appointment as PM could be successfully challenged in the court. It is fair to assume that this report of the President’s decision, is correct since the President had before him my petition dated May 15, 2004 making just that point— that Ms. Gandhi’s citizenship is conditional, and in particular she cannot be the PM legally. The President had also given me an appointment at 12.45 PM on May 17, 2004 to explain my submissions in person, which I did. I also told him that I would challenge such a constitutional appointment in the Supreme Court just as I had in 2001 when the Tamil Nadu Governor illegally swore in Ms Jayalalitha as Chief Minister.
In that case, the Supreme Court had after hearing me and many other institutional luminaries, upheld my contention that mere majority in the House is insufficient for being sworn in to a constitutional office. There must be no disqualification as well. Ms. Jayalalitha had therefore to step down because she was disqualified by a conviction handed by a trial court in the TANSI corruption case filed by me as private complaint [she subsequently was acquitted by the Madras High Court, and hence became eligible the next year]. I also cited to the President a 1962 Allahabad High Court case, which held that this proviso in the Citizenship Act was binding and lawful.
The nation in the Sonia matter has thus got an unexpected but temporary reprieve, a reprieve received not only because her citizenship of India by registration is not equal to one by birth even by Indian law, but also a reprieve more because of what national security risk was averted. To comprehend that risk, we must first understand who Sonia Gandhi really is and what danger she, her family and her friends in Italy hold for India’s national security.
Even for an Indian born citizen, we find it difficult to know a person’s true background, but for an Italian born it is extremely hard because of the remote access for most people to Italy in language and familiarity. This note is about that danger that Sonia represents to the nation, which the people need to know.
II
Ms. Sonia Gandhi’s background as is publicized by her and her Congress Party today, is based on three lies to hide the ugly reality of her life.
First, her real name is Antonia not Sonia. The Italian Ambassador in New Delhi revealed this in a letter dated April 27, 1983 to the Union Home Ministry which letter has not been made public. Antonia is Sonia’s real name in her birth certificate. Sonia is the name given to her subsequently by her father, Stefano Maino [now deceased] following his return from Russia where he had been a prisoner of war. Stefano had joined the Nazi army as a volunteer. Sonia is a Russian not Italian name. While spending two years in a Russian jail, Sonia’s father had become quite pro-Soviet; especially after the liberating US army in Italy had confiscated all fascists’ properties including his.
Second, she was not born in Orbassano as she claims in her bio data submitted to Parliament on becoming MP, but in Luciana as stated in her birth certificate. She perhaps would like to hide the place of her birth because of her father’s connection with the Nazis and Mussolini’s Fascists, and her family’s continuing connections with the Nazi-Fascists underground that is still surviving since 1945 in Italy. Luciana is where Nazi-Fascist network is headquartered, and is on the Italian-Swiss border. There can be no other explanation for this otherwise meaningless lie.
Third, Sonia Gandhi has not studied beyond High School. She has falsely claimed in her affidavit filed as a contesting candidate before the Rae Bareli Returning Officer in the 2004 Lok Sabha elections, that she qualified and got a diploma inEnglish from the prestigious University of Cambridge, UK.
The truth is that Ms. Gandhi has never studied in any college anywhere. She did go to a Catholic nun run seminary-school called Maria Ausiliatrice in Giaveno [15 kms from adopted home town of Orbassabo]. Poverty those days forced young Italian girls to go to such missionaries and then in their teens go to UK to get jobs as cleaning maids, waitresses and au pair. The Mainos were poor those days. Her father was a mason and mother a share cropper.
Sonia thus went to the town of Cambridge and first learnt some English in a teaching shop called Lennox School [which has since 1970 been wound up]. That is all her “education” is—learnt enough English language to get domestic help jobs. But in Indian society education is highly valued. Thus, to fool the Indian public, Sonia Gandhi willfully fibbed about her qualifications in Parliamentary records [which is a Breach of Ethics Rules] and in a sworn affidavit [which is criminal offence under IPC, severe enough to disqualify her from being MP]. In popular parlance, this is called 420 or 10 “numberi” [not to be confused with 10 Janpath].
These three lies indicate that Ms. Sonia Gandhi has something to hide, or has a hidden agenda for India. We need to find out more about her.
III
Ms. Sonia Gandhi upon learning enough English became a waitress in Varsity Restaurant in Cambridge town. She first met Rajiv when he came to the restaurant in 1965. Rajiv was a student in the University, but could not cope with the academic rigour for long. So he had to depart in 1966 for London where he was briefly in Imperial College of Engineering as a student. Sonia too moved to London, and according my information, got a job with an outfit run by Salman Thassir, a debonair Pakistani based in Lahore, and who has a export-import company headquartered in Dubai but who spends most of his time in London. Thisfits the profile of an ISI functionary.
Obviously, Sonia made enough money in this job to loan Rajiv funds in London, who was obviously living beyond his allowances [Indira herself expressed anguish to me on this score in late 1965 when she invited me to a private tea at the Guest House in Brandeis University]. Rajiv’s letters to Sanjay, who was also in London then, clearly indicate that he was in financial debt to Sonia because he requested Sanjay who obviously had more access to money, to pay off the debt.
However, Rajiv was not the only friend Sonia was seeing those days. Madhavrao Scindia and a German by name Stiegler are worth mentioning as other good friends of Sonia. Madhavrao’s friendship continued even after Sonia’s marriage to Rajiv. Scindia in 1982 was involved in a traffic accident near IIT, Delhi main gate while driving a car at 2 AM. Sonia was the only other passenger. Both were badly injured. A student of IIT who was burning midnight oil was out for a cup of coffee. He picked them up from the car, hailed an auto rickshaw and sent an injured Sonia to Mrs Indira Gandhi’s house since she insisted in not going to a hospital. Madhavrao had broken a leg and in too much pain to make any demand. He was taken to hospital by the Delhi Police who had arrived a little after Sonia had left the scene. In later years, Madhavrao had become privately critical of Sonia, and told some close friends about his apprehensions about Sonia. It is a pity that
he died in mysterious circumstances in an aircrash.
The circumstance under which Rajiv hastily married Sonia in a Church in Orbassano is controversial but that was his personal matter that has no public significance. But what is of public significance is that Indira Gandhi who was initially dead set against the marriage for reasons known to her, relented to hold a registry marriage with Hindu ceremonial trappings in New Delhi only after the pro-Soviet T.N. Kaul prevailed upon her to accept the marriage in “the larger interest of cementing Indo-Soviet Friendship”. Kaul would not have intervened unless the Soviet Union had asked him to.
IV
Such has been the extensive patronage from the beginning extended to Sonia Gandhi from the Soviets. When a Prime Minister of India’s son dates a girl in London, the KGB which valued Indo-Soviet relations, obviously would investigate her and find out that she was the daughter of Stefano, their old reliable Italian contact. Thus, Sonia with Rajiv meant deeper access to the household of the Indian Prime Minister. Hence cementing the Rajiv-Sonia relations was in the Soviet national interest and they went to work on it. And they did through their then existing moles in the Indira Gandhi camp.
After her marriage to Rajiv, the Soviet connection with the Mainos was fortified and nurtured by generous financial help through commissions and kickbacks on every Indo,Soviet trade deal and defence purchases. According to the respected Swiss magazine, Schweitzer Illustrate [November 1991 issue], Rajiv Gandhi had about $ 2 billion in numbered Swiss bank accounts, which Sonia inherited upon his assassination. Dr. Yevgenia Albats, Ph.D [Harvard], is a noted Russian scholar and journalist, and was a member of the KGB Commission set up by President Yeltsin in August 1991. She was privy to the Soviet intelligence files that documented these deals and KGB facilitation of the same. In her book,The State Within a State. The KGB in Soviet Union, she even gives the file numbers of such intelligence files, which can now be accessed by any Indian government through a formal request to the Kremlin.
The Russsian Government in 1992 was confronted by the Albats’ disclosure; they confirmed it through their official spokesperson to the press [which was published in Hindu in 1992], defending such financial payments as necessary in “Soviet ideological interest”.
When the Soviet Union disintegrated in 1991, things changed for Ms. Sonia Gandhi. Her patrons evaporated. The rump that became Russia was in a financial mess and disorder. So Ms. Sonia Gandhi became a supporter of another communist country to the annoyance of the Russians.
The national security ramification of this ‘annoyance’ is now significant: The President of Russia today is Putin, a former dyed-in-the-wool KGB officer. Upon Dr. Manmohan Singh’s government taking office, Russia called back it’s career diplomat Ambassador in New Delhi and immediately posted as the new Ambassador a person who was the KGB station chief in New Delhi during the 1970s. In view of Dr. Albats confirmed revelation, it stands to reason that the new Ambassador would have known first hand about Sonia’s connections with the KGB. He may have in fact been her “controller”. The new Indian government which is defacto Sonia’s, cannot afford to annoy him or even disregard Russian demands coming from him? They will obviously placate him so as not to risk exposure. Is this not a major national security risk and a delicate matter for the nation?
Of course, all Indians would like good normal and healthy relations with Russia. Who can forget their assistance to us in times of need? Today’s Russia is the residual legatee of that Soviet Union which helped India. But just because of that, should we tolerate those in our government set up having clandestine links with a foreign spy agency? In the United States, the government did not tolerate an American spying for Israel even though the two countries are as close as any two countries can be. National security and friendship are asdifferent as chalk and cheese.
In December 2001, I had filed a Writ Petition in the Delhi High Court with the photocopies of the KGB documents, and sought a CBI investigation, which the Vajpayee Government was refusing. Earlier, Minister of State for CBI, Vasundara Raje [now Rajasthan CM], on my letter dated March 3, 2001, had ordered the CBI to investigate. But after Sonia Gandhi and her party stalled the proceedings of Parliament on this issue, the then Prime Minister Vajpayee cancelled Vasundara’s direction to the CBI.
The Delhi High Court issued a direction to the CBI to ascertain from Russia the truth of my charges. The CBI procrastinated for three years, and finally told the Court without an FIR registered the Russians will not entertain any such query. But who stopped the CBI from registering an FIR? The next hearing of the case is on September 8th.

V
After Sonia married Rajiv, she went about minting money with scant regard for Indian laws and treasures. Within a few years the Mainos went from utter poverty to billionaires. There was no area that was left out for the rip-off. On November 19, 1974, as fresh entrant to Parliament, I asked the then Prime Minister Ms. Indira Gandhi on the floor of the House if her daughter-in-law, Sonia Gandhi was acting as an insurance agent of a public sector insurance company [Oriental Fire & Insurance], giving the Prime Minister’s official residence as her business address, and using undue influence to insure all the officers of the PMO while remaining an Italian citizen [thus violating FERA]? There was uproar in Parliament, but Mrs. Indira Gandhi had no alternative but to cut her losses. She made a rare admission that it was so, and that it was by mistake, but that Sonia had resigned from her insurance agent status [after my question]. But Sonia was incorrigible. Her contempt for Indian law continued to manifest.
The Justice A.C. Gupta Commission set up by the Janata Party government in 1977 came out with a voluminous report on the Maruti Company then owned by the Gandhi family, and has listed eight violations of FERA, Companies Act, and Foreigners Registration Act by Sonia Gandhi. She was never prosecuted, but can be still prosecuted because under Indian law, economic crimes not subject to the statute of limitation.
In January 1980, Indira Gandhi returned as Prime Minister. The first thing Sonia did was to enroll herself as a voter. This was a gross violation of the law, enough to cause cancellation of her visa [since she was admittedly an Italian citizen then]. There was some hullabaloo in the press about it, so the Delhi Chief Electoral Officer got her name deleted in 1982. But in January 1983, she again enrolled herself as a voter! Such is her revealed disdain for Indian laws and that is her mindset even today.
VI
The bottom line observed in Sonia’s mindset is that she can always run back to Italy if she becomes vulnerable at anytime. In Peru, President Fujimori who all along claimed to be “born Peruvian”, faced with a corruption charge fled to Japan with his loot and reclaimed his Japanese citizenship.
In 1977, when the Janata Party defeated the Congress at the polls, and formed the government, Sonia with her two children, abandoned Indira Gandhi and ran to the Italian Embassy in New Delhi and hid there. Rajiv Gandhi was a government servant then [as an Indian Airlines pilot], but he too tagged along and hid in that foreign embassy ! Such was her baneful influence on him. Rajiv did snap out Sonia’s influence after 1989, but alas he was assassinated before he could rectify it. Those close to Rajiv knew that he was planning set things right about Sonia after the 1991 elections. She did too know of it because he had told her. Ever wonder why Sonia’s closest advisers are those whom Rajiv literally hated? Ambika Soni is one such name. Ever wonder why she asked the President of India to set aside, on a mercy petition, the Supreme Court judgment directing that Rajiv Gandhi’s LTTE killers be hanged to death, when she was not similarly moved for Satwant Singh who killed Indira Gandhi or recently for Dhanajoy Chattopadhyaya? The explanation for this special consideration for the LTTE lies in what Rajiv had told her in 1990.
Those who have no love for India will not hesitate to plunder her treasures. Mohammed Ghori, Nadir Shah, and the British scum in the East India Company made no secret of it. But Sonia Gandhi has been more discreet, but as greedy, in her looting of Indian treasures. When Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi were PrimeMinisters, not a day passed when the PM’s security did not go to the New Delhi, or Chennai international airport to send crates and crates unchecked by customs to Rome. Air India and Alitalia were the carriers. Mr. Arjun Singh first as CM, later as Union Minister in charge of Culture was her hatchet man. Indian temple sculpture of gods and goddesses, antiques, pichwai paintings, shatoosh shawls, coins, and you name it, were transported to Italy to be first displayed in two shops owned by her sister [i.e., Anuskha alias Alessandra]. These shops located in blue-collar areas of Rivolta [shop name: Etnica] and Orbassano [shop name:Ganpati] did little business because which blue collar Italian wants Indian antiques? The shops were to make false bills, and thereafter these treasures were taken to London for auction by Sotheby’s and Christies. Some of this ill-gotten money from auction went into Rahul Gandhi’s National way into the Gandhi family account in the Bank of America in Cayman Islands.
Rahul’s expenses and tuition fees for the one-year he was at Harvard, was paid from the Cayman Island account. What kind of people are these Gandhi-Mainos that bite the very hand of Bharat Mata that fed them and gave them a good life? How can the nation trust such greedy thieves?
Since I failed to persuade the Vajpayee government to defend India’s treasures from plunder by the Mainos, I approached the Delhi High Court in a PIL. The first Bench of the court issued notice to the Government, but since the Indian government dragged it’s feet, the Court directed the CBI to seek Interpol’s and Italian government’s help. The Italian government justifiably asked for a Letter Rogatory for which a FIR is a pre-requisite. But the Interpol did oblige and submitted two voluminous reports, which the Court directed the CBI to hand over to me. But CBI has refused, and has claimed privilege! The CBI has also been caught lying in court by telling the judges that Alessandra Maino is a name of a man, and Via Bellini 14, Orbassano is a name of a village [not the street address of the Maino's residence]. Although the CBI counsel had to apologise to the court stating he made a mistake, he has been promoted to Additional Solicitor General by the new government! The Vajpayee-Sonia mutual assistance pact is in full view. The case now comes up on September 8th.
But the most sinister aspect of Sonia Gandhi’s character is her connection with terrorists. I am still working on it, but she has had long connection with the Habash group of Palestinian, and has funded Palestinian families that lost their kith and kin in a suicide bombing or hijacking episode. This, Rajiv Gandhi himself told me and was confirmed to me [the funding] by Yassir Arafat when I met him in Tunis on October 17, 1990 at the request of Rajiv Gandhi. Rajiv Gandhi and I were good friends from 1978, but became very close buddies after V.P. Singh had betrayed him in 1987. We met practically every day, mostly in the early hours from 1AM to 4AM. It was at my suggestion that he made Chandrashekhar the PM. And contrary to public impression, he was not mainly responsible for the fall of Chandrashekar government in which I was a Minister.
Besides the Palestinian extremists, the Maino family have had extensive business dealings with Saddam Hussein, and surprisingly with the LTTE ["the Tamil Tigers"] since 1984. Sonia’s mother Paola Predebon Maino, and businessman Ottavio Quattrocchi were the main contacts with the Tigers. The mother used the LTTE for money laundering and Quattrocchi for selling weapons to earn commissions.
Sonia’s conduit to the LTTE has been and is through Arjun Singh who uses Bangalore as the nodal point for contact. There is a string of circumstantial evidence pointing to the prima facie possibility that the Maino family may have contracted the LTTE to kill Rajiv Gandhi. The family may have assured the LTTE that nothing would happen to them because they would ensure it is blamed on the Sikhs or the evidence so much fudged that no court would convict them. But D.R. Karthikeyan of the CBI who led the SIT
investigation got the support of Narasimha Rao and cracked the case, and got the LTTE convicted in the trial court, and which conviction was upheld in the Supreme Court.
Although on the involvement of Congress Party in the assassination, DRK soft peddled on a number of leads perhaps because he did not want political controversy to put roadblocks on his investigation as a whole. The Justice J. S. Verma Commission, which was set up as the last official act of the Chandrashekhar government before demitting office on June 21, 1991, did find that the Congress leaders had disrupted the security arrangements for the Sriperumbudur meeting. The Commission wanted further probe into it but the Rao government rejected that demand. In the meantime under Sonia’s pressure, the Jain Commission was set up by the Rao government, which tried to muddy the waters and thus exonerate the LTTE. But the trial court judgment convicting the LTTE came earlier, and that sinister effort too failed.
Nowadays, Sonia is quite unabashed in having political alliance with those who praise Rajiv Gandhi’s killers. No Indian widow would ever do that. My investigations into Sonia’s involvement in Rajiv’s assassination is therefore still on. I am also author of a best seller titled Assassination Of Rajiv Gandhi,Unasked Questions and Unanswered Queries [published by Konark in 2000] in which I have given some indications.
Is it not significant that the political career of Sonia Gandhi advances concomitantly with a series of assassinations and apparently accidental deaths? How did Sanjay’s plane nosedive to a crash and yet the fuselage not explode? There was no fuel! Why was there no inquiry conducted? Is it not a fact that Indira Gandhi died because of loss of blood from the wounds and not directly due to a bullet impacting her head or heart? Then is it not strange that Sonia had insisted that the bleeding Indira be driven to Lohia Hospital — in the opposite direction to AIIMS, which had a contingency protocol set up for precisely suchan event? And after reaching Lohia Hospital, did not Sonia change her mind and demand that they all drive to AIIMS thus losing 24 valuable minutes.
The same kind of mystery surrounds the sudden deaths of Sonia’s other political roadblocks such as Rajesh Pilot, Jitendra Prasad, and Madhavrao Scindia. Such things happened in the dark ages in Italy. Should we allow it India like dumb cattle?
What Can We Do?
We have to ensure that the Maino clan does not stay in power. Dr. Manmohan Singh may be PM, which is a small relief, but he is not a fighter. The real power in government today is wielded by the Maino mafia gang. Can they be dethroned?
In Indian democracy, only a shocking scandal can unseat a government other than by losing majority. Today’s priority is not for toppling the Congress government as such since Manmohan Singh is a decent and scholarly person, but in driving the Maino clan out of India. It will however not be long before Sonia will give Manmohan Singh marching orders, and he will march out meekly. We should not expect him to resist.
With Sonia’s defacto government in place, it is also unrealistic to expect that I can get an early victory in the courts on the KGB and antique smuggling cases.
The most potent weapon therefore to dislodge the Maino clan [including Rahul and Priyanka] is by exposing their Italian citizenship. In 1992, Sonia revived her citizenship of Italy under Article 17 of the Italian Citizenship Law [Act 91 of 1992]. Rahul and Priyanka were born Italian citizens because Sonia was Italian when she gave birth to them [Italian law based on jure sanguinis]. Hence, they continue be Italians since they never renounced it. Both have been traveling abroad on Italian passports. They may now acquire Venezuela passports since Rahul’s girl friend Veronica is a Venezuelan. That means one more foreign bahu for us tolerant Indians. The Maino-Gandhis are certainly getting globalized. So what can patriotic Indians do?
There is an urgent need to document these facts on notarized paper, for which we need a network in London, Milan, Hongkong and Venezuela. Those persuaded by my above stated facts and arguments may join in and help set up this network.
Westminister Bank and Hongkong & Shanghai Bank, London accounts, but most of it found it’s personal bank accounts

In popular parlance, this is called 420 or 10 “numberi” [not to be confused with 10 Janpath].
These three lies indicate that Ms. Sonia Gandhi has something to hide, or has a hidden agenda for India. We need to find out more about her.

Pseudo-Secularist on Back foot-SIT to Probe Teesta Setalvad
A special designated riot case court in Ahmedabad, on Wednesday asked the Special Investigation Team to probe the allegation by Rais Khan, former coordinator of NGO Center for Justice and Peace (CJP), against social activist Teesta Setalvad.
Khan had filed an affidavit claiming that he should be examined as a witness so that he could throw light on some facts of the case on how the witnesses were “tutored, cheated and made to sign false affidavits” by Teesta Setalvad. Apart from Gulbarg case, Khan has also filed a similar application in Naroda gam riot case.
In his application, Khan said, “I am an important link which can throw light on how the victims and witnesses were tutored, cheated and made to sign false affidavits by Teesta Setalvad in the name of ‘interest of community’”.
The court asked the Supreme Court-appointed Special Investigation Team, probing the 2002 riot cases, to record statement of Khan on the affidavits, applications and statements of witnesses in the Gulburg case. The order passed by designated judge B U Joshi also asked SIT to investigate Khan’s statement and submit report in court by November 18.

Kandhamal boycott of Christians-RSS terms it as bluff
During August 2010 conference held by People’s National Tribunal held in New Delhi start planting news of Christian boycott of Kondh and Panos Christians in Kandhamalin no one took it seriously. But now so called Fact Finding Team led by Christian activists visited Kandhamal,RSS has started countering there false claims of boycott by collecting strong evidences denying the so called boycott of Christians.RSS leader in Bhuvaneshwar has said that this is ploy by Christian organisations to extract more and more money from International community by planting fictitious news of Christian persecution. And the money collected from all over world to fight Christian persecution ultimately goes to private purse of local Christian leaders.
RSS leader has warned that if Christian leaders continued to plant such false and concocted stories, then assimilation of local Christians in tribal mainstream would be badly affected and also pace would be slow.He also suggested Christian leaders to do something constructive for tribal community than to create stir in society by propagating fabricated stories.
RSS leader further challenged that come on with concrete evidences and have a transparent discussion on matter in free atmosphere, but he further said that no one would come forward as tehy have nothing to show.

RSS To Use Two Ways To Fight Fictitious Saffron Terror -Protest Against Government & Court Cases against Media
Today's nationwide protests arranged by RSS has gained huge success.RSS had planned it to shoot down UPA Government's new stealth policy of implicating RSS cadres for there fictitious involvement into terror activities. According to RSS leaders UPA is trying hard to consolidate Muslim vote bank in there favor by terming RSS as militant outfit. And including names of RSS workers in to fabricated charge sheets.
It was unprecedented move by RSS to come to streets against Union Government for targeting organisation for non-existent issues and crimes that never committed by it's cadres. Many observers are seeing it as a commencement of direct confrontation between RSS and Union government, and some of them are smelling as direct fight between both like 1975 emergency during Indira regime.
One more campaign about which RSS is not uttering a single word is to sue media for use of Saffron terror phrase. In Maharashtra RSS sympathizers has launched wave of court suits and legal notices against senior Marathi Journalist Kumar Ketkar for using Saffron Terror Phrase.Kumar Ketkar might receive court summons within next few days for his articles and in few cases he might has to run to Mumbai High court to seek anticipatory bail if lower courts issues arrest warrant against him.
According to one top ranking RSS leader,RSS has decided to keep mum on this issue but it has directed it's cadres from all states to hunt for journalists and writers which frequently uses Saffron Terror phrase and to file court suits against such media personalities.RSS has also decided that low profile, low rank workers which has no direct links with organisation and which has no official responsibility within organisation would file these complaints and court cases so that no one would blame organisation for taking on media.
If this stealth warfare strategy does well all over, then media;particularly print media would be in serious trouble as many of them are frequently referring terms like Hindu terrorist, saffron terrorist and so on.
Today's sit in protests across the nation has gained overwhelming response and it is warning for Union Government. So coming few months would be very very significant for government,RSS and media.
Hungarian NAZI War Criminal Sues Simon Wiesenthal Center Israel Director, Dr. Efraim Zuroff
Hungary--Against the backdrop of a resurgent far-right movement that won nearly 17% of the votes in recent elections and with increasing anti-Semitism in Hungary, Simon Wiesenthal Center Israel Director Dr. Efraim Zuroff finds himself on trial in Budapest in a lawsuit filed by an Hungarian Nazi war criminal responsible for the murder of hundreds of Jews.
In a first-person report for Wiesenthal.com, Dr. Zuroff explains that, “For the past 30 years, I have been actively involved in trying to facilitate the prosecution of Nazi war criminals, so it was quite upsetting to find myself in the dock 10 days ago in Budapest (Pictured right) as the accused in a libel/defamation suit filed by one of the more important Holocaust perpetrators whom I have exposed and sought to bring to justice.”
Dr Zuroff continues…"The person in question, Dr. Sandor Kepiro, was among a group of Hungarian army and gendarmerie officers who organized a mass murder of at least 1,250 innocent civilians (mostly Jews, the others Serbs and Roma) in the Serbian city of Novi Sad on January 23, 1942.
Thousands of residents of the city were rounded up by the Hungarians on that day
Photo: Protesters outside the courtroom with signs reading, "A war crime does not fade away!"
and taken to a large theater in the center of the city, where a committee of Hungarian officers decided if any could be released. The others, the overwhelming majority of those rounded up, were marched to the banks of the Danube River, which runs through the center of Novi Sad, where they were mowed down by teams of Hungarian shooters. The murders were only stopped in the afternoon, when Hungarian officers sent from Budapest landed on the frozen river with orders to halt the mass murder, which had been launched by the officers in Novi Sad on their own initiative, but by this time hundreds had already been killed
In late 1943, the officers involved in the operation were put on trial in Hungary for violating orders, and on January 23, 1944, they were all convicted and sentenced either to death or to lengthy jail sentences, including Sandor Kepiro. Shortly thereafter, however, the Nazis invaded Hungary and all the convictions were cancelled, the officers were given promotions, and they were returned to active service…
After the war, Kepiro escaped to Austria and in 1948 arrived in Argentina, where he remained until 1996, when he returned to Budapest. There are indications that he was tried again in absentia in 1946 and was again convicted.
In the summer of 2006, the Center received information that Kepiro was still alive and I tracked him down to a brownstone in the Hungarian capital at 78 Leo Frankel Street, right opposite a functioning synagogue.(For the full details on the amazing story of how I found him, see the chapter on Kepiro in my recent book Operation Last Chance; One Man's Quest to Bring Nazi Criminals to Justice, Palgrave/Macmillan, 2009.) On August 1, 2006, I submitted the evidence to the prosecutors, who informed me that there was no statute of limitations in Hungary on war crimes, genocide, and crimes against humanity and I asked that Kepiro's original sentence be implemented. In February 2007, I was informed that the original sentence could not be implemented since it had been cancelled by a Hungarian court, but instead an investigation was opened against him for his role in the massacre at Novi Sad. That investigation has been proceeding ever since, but contrary to our expectation that Kepiro would be prosecuted, that has still not taken place. About a year ago, he was finally questioned and had to surrender his passport, but a request to put him under house arrest was rejected and he is still unprosecuted more than three years after the investigation against him commenced.
Then I suddenly found myself on trial for exposing a Holocaust perpetrator and pushing for his prosecution. Instead of attending Kepiro's trial, I found myself on trial for the ostensible offense of exposing and telling the truth about one of the persons responsible for a terrible mass murder. This was a strange and unprecedented experience for me, but the silver lining might be that the proceeding that he started against me might ultimately be his undoing as we expose his crimes, thereby increasing the pressure for his prosecution. That is my hope, and so despite the frustration and absurdity of being in the dock, perhaps some positive benefit can be achieved in this case and the truth and justice be served.

RASHTRIYA SWAYAMSEVAK SANGH(RSS) AKHIL BHARATIYA KARYAKARI MANDAL RESOLUTION 2010
RASHTRIYA SWAYAMSEVAK SANGH
AKHIL BHARATIYA KARYAKARI MANDAL, Yugabd 5112
JALGAON 29 - 31 OCTOBER, 2010

Accession of J&K is Full and Final – Talk of Autonomy is Treason
Akhil Bharatiya Karyakari Mandal expresses serious resentment over the way the present turbulence in the Kashmir Valley is being handled by both the State and Central governments. The mistake committed in the past of trying to pamper the separatist and secessionist leaders of the Valley is being repeated this time too.
Of particular concern is the lackadaisical attitude of the Central Government in addressing the issue. Never before has the Central Government been perceived as so weak and ineffective before the antics of the StateGovernment, anti- national tirade of the secessionists and their pseudo-intellectual supporters and unwarranted internationalization of the Kashmir issue. Treacherous speeches amounting to blatant treason right under its nose go unchallenged.
The ABKM reiterates that the integration of J&K including Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzafarabad, Mirpur and Aksai Chin etc into Bharat was full and final with the signing of the Instrument of Accession by the Maharaja of J&K Sri Hari Singh on 26 October 1947 and subsequent seal of approval by Governor General Mountbaton on 27 October 1947. Successive and successful democratic elections to the State Assembly since mid-50s have ratified the integration. Indira Gandhi - Sheikh Abdullah Accord, Nov 1974 puts full stop to any further controversy over the status of the State's integration.
The ABKM reaffirms that J&K is an integral part of Bharat and any challenge to that issue in the name of Azadi is nothing short of treason. Azadi has become a euphemism for Islamist and
pro-Pakistan secessionism.
The ABKM takes strong exception to the statement of the Chief Minister of J&K in the State Assembly that J&K has 'only acceded but not fully merged with' Bharat 'like other Princely states'. Through his immaturity and inefficiency he has already brought the state into the vortex of violence. With an eye on vote banks he deliberately allowed the violence to perpetuate by not controlling it with iron hand. Through his statements on several occasions he created an atmosphere against his own security forces. And now he openly started speaking the language of the secessionists and their Pakistani mentors. The ABKM is aghast at the way senior Ministers in the Central Government, in stead of condemning him, sought to support him thus exposing their own ulterior political games at the cost of nation's integrity.
The ABKM notes with grief that it is this secessionist leadership, which is always held as representative of the State although a large section of the population of the State is pro-Bharat and patriotic. This section includes pro-Bharat (nationalist) Muslims in the Valley, the Kashmiri Pandits, Sikhs, Shias , Pahadis,
Buddhists of Ladakh, Gujjars and Bakrawals of the State, people of Jammu region and several lakhs of refugees and others who don't have State Subject status even after 60 years. The ABKM urges the Government to talk to all these sections – especially the Kashmiri Pandits, refugees of the PoK and West Pakistan refugees - that have stood firmly for Bharat in spite of being the victims of the atrocities of the secessionist and terrorist elements. The experience so far has been that it is the secessionists and terrorists that are pampered by the successive governments while pro-Bharat elements are always dismissed with contempt.
The ABKM regrets that this time also during the visit of the all-party delegation to the State the separatist leaders, who should have been delegitimized by the delegation, have in stead been provided big importance whereas there was no time for the leaders to listen to the pro-Bharat patriotic people.
The ABKM wishes to remind the government that the secessionists and terrorists have lost their ground in the Valley due to the valiant fight put up by our security forces in the last 2 decades. Around 5000 of our security personnel have laid down their lives fighting these forces. They continue to fight these forces in the Valley with their hands tied up and backs to the wall. Instead of supporting and strengthening them the government, some intellectuals and a section of the media are bent upon vilifying them.
The ABKM deplores this attitude of running down our security forces in the name of baseless allegations of human rights violations. We should not forget that the intefada-style terrorism deployed by the secessionists now a days is only a strategic shift in the same terror that they have been indulging in from the beginning. Whether it was the attack of the Kabaili tribesmen in 1947-48 or the wars of '65, '71 and '99 or the terrorism and proxy war of the '90s or the new wave of
stone-pelting agitational terrorism – all these are different forms of terrorism employed by our neighbour in J&K. The stone-pelting terrorism in a way betrays the cruel and inhuman face of the secessionist leadership in which the leaders push young boys in the forefront with stones and make them scapegoats. More than 3000 security personnel were injured, many grievously, in the recent spate of stone pelting in the Valley.
The ABKM views the demand for withdrawal of the Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) and the Disturbed Areas Act as a dangerous one fraught with serious consequences to the national security. J&K is a sensitive border state requiring continuous movement of armed forces and also infested with terrorism sponsored by our neighbor. It is important that our security forces are equipped with sufficient powers to deal with the situation and the AFSPA is one such Act that can't be dispensed with. While the Government including the Prime Minister is bent upon withdrawing the Act in their effort to bend backwards to please the secessionists the Army and the security establishment is strongly resisting any such dangerous move.
The ABKM strongly decries the statements and actions of the Group of Interlocutors, which betray their lack of depth and understanding of the issues involved. Statements emanating from the members of the group go against the stated position of our Parliament through the 1994 unanimous resolution. The Group lacks not only vision and expertise but also legitimacy, as it doesn't have the mandate of either the parliament or the country. The Group is acting overtly in support of the secessionists and Pakistan thus greatly harming our interests. The ABKM deplores the reckless attitude of the Central Government in appointing such a group of biased individuals for such an important mission and calls for its immediate disbanding.
The ABKM is of the considered opinion that the Central Government is succumbing to foreign pressures and trying to create a favourable atmosphere for secessionist forces in the Valley. Repeated statements of the ministers about finding a 'political solution to the J&K problem' are nothing but a euphemism for granting more autonomy. It is to create such an atmosphere that they are using all the forums like the all-Party delegation, the Group of Interlocutors and even some members of the political establishment.
The ABKM reiterates that the direction of our efforts should be towards reaffirming the status of complete integration of J&K in the true spirit of our Constitution and the 1994 unanimous Resolution of our Parliament and not towards autonomy or pre-1953 status.
The ABKM warns the Government that any move to further alienate J&K will be strongly resisted by the people of the country including the patriotic people of J&K. It calls upon all the political parties to rise above their differences to ensure that the Government doesn't compromise on vital national interests in the context of the J&K problem. The ABKM calls upon the countrymen to understand and undo the machinations of all these forces that are bent upon destroying the unity and integrity of our nation in the name of autonomy and political solution to J&K issue. Autonomy is like a post-dated cheque for another partition, which the country shall never accept.

150TH BIRTH ANNIVERSARY OF MAHAMANA MALVIYA JI
The Akhil Bharatiya Karykari Mandal feels immense pleasure on reverential remembrance of
Mahamana Pt.Madan Mohan Malviya ji, born on the Paush Krishna Ashtami Vikram Samvat 1918 (25 December 1861), on his 150th birth anniversary. Malviya ji was a great patriot, freedom fighter, renowned educationist, editor of several newspapers, skillful lawyer, eloquent orator and munificent donor. The great cow-devotee, the moving force for building temple at Shri Krishna Janma Bhoomi and founder of the Banaras Hindu University, Malviya ji got established gau-shalas, pathshalas and Mumukshu Ashrams at several places. Malviya ji started his political voyage by leaving the Kolkata conference of the Congress spell-bound by his speech at the age of 25. He became the President of the Congress four times and led the Hindu Mahasabha for twelve years. Gandhiji has always held him in high esteem as the ocean of knowledge and as his spiritual mentor.
Compelled to adopt the career of teaching on completing the 10th standard of education, he adorned
education with the golden aura of Hindutva and had been the Vice Chancellor of the Banaras Hindu University for 20 years. The perceived objective of the Mahamana in establishing the university was to integrate dharma and ethics as an inseparable part of education for moulding the character of the youth. He strongly believed that dharma is the sole basis of character and source of bliss in life. For this purpose, he emphasised on Sanskrit teaching and established the tradition of discourse on Geeta, which is continuing uninterrupted till date. The motto "Hindunaam Maanvardhanah" written on the entrance of the Kashi Vishwanath temple built in the Banaras Hindu University was his sole mission in life.
The second Sarsanghchalak of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, revered Shri Guruji had been a student
and teacher in this university. He was blessed with the proximity and affection of Malviya ji at that time .It was with the benediction of Malviya ji that the office of the Sangh could be established in the university campus and the Sangh-karya continued to get his blessings.
It was a unique and rare combination in him that he was a political leader of mass acceptance, together
with being a widely respected educational luminary. To redeem his resolve to serve the cause of education and social-service he renounced his well established practice of law in 1911, for ever. In order to follow the tradition of Sanyaas throughout his life, he pursued the avowed commitment to live on the society's support.
But when 177 freedom fighters were convicted to be hanged in the Chouri-choura case he appeared before the court, despite his vow and got acquitted 156 freedom fighters.
While considering the so called untouchables and indigent of the Hindus as the integral part of Hindu
Society and to give them respectable place, he continued to endeavour successfully, to arrange for their Mantradeeksha and education, inspite of opposition from obscurantists. By virtue of his intimate relations with Dr.Ambedkar and credibility, he succeeded to seek his consent on the Poona pact .
His commitment for Swadeshi, reflected in his explicit faith in indigenous products, thought, practice,
language and industry was also visible in his devotion for our cultural values. Malviya ji had strongly opposed the obstruction of the flow of Ganga from Gomukh to Gangasagar and the British government had to restore the uninterrupted flow of Ganga.
Totally opposed to the politics of appeasement, Malviya ji had opposed the separate electorates for
Muslims under the Lucknow Pact of 1916 and also opposed the participation of Congress in the Khilaphat movement in early 20's. Giving his clear verdict against the division of the country, he cautioned Gandhi ji against bargaining for freedom at the cost of division of the country.
His compassionate heart lacerated at the news of horrifying violence against Hindus, in 1946 in Kolkata and Noakhali. He urged the Hindus to counter the oppressors by organizing against them. This very grief was the cause of his demise.
Instead of aspiring for Moksha on his demise, he wished for rebirth for the sake of nation and university.
In brief, in spite of being into politics he was above politics. He was explicit proponent of dharm, stood against the obscurantism and was supporter of cultural values in life. He was propounder of Swadeshi and committed for self-reliant Bharat and was strong advocate of reinterpretation of ancient scriptures in light of contemporary needs. He was deeply devotional and away from parochialism. He was a royal beggar for the social cause and munificent donor in the personal life.
The ABKM calls upon the central and state governments that while, celebrating the 150th anniversary they should reintroduce his biography in the curricula as it existed earlier and should restore the originality of the Banaras Hindu University which was established by him on the basis of the Hindu values and ideals..
The ABKM pays humble and heart-felt homage to Mahamana Madan Mohan Malviya ji and calls upon the Swayamsevaks and the countrymen to commit to mould the new generation by drawing inspiration from the noble and intensely active life of Mahamana and follow the Hindu values as reflected in his articles, speeches and life episodes, in personal life and establish these in the social life.

SESQUICENTENNIAL BIRTH ANNIVERSARY OF RAVINDRANATH THAKUR
The Akhil Bharatiya Karyakari Mandal sincerely believes that remembering the great poet
Ravindranath Thakur's life and thoughts is most pertinent today for reviving the conscience of the society.
Born on May 7, 1861(Bangla year 1268, Vaishakh 25) Ravindranath was the son of Devendranath Thakur of the illustrious Thakur family. His towering and versatile genius and life dedicated to the society made him the torch-bearer of the social, Dharmic and spiritual renaissance of last century in Bharat. His life was embodiment of his ideology and literature based on the unshakable foundation of eternal Bharatiya values.
He pleaded that we should see our ideals like Ram and Laxman with purity of heart and veneration. He also opined that it is impudent and shameful not to bow before the great thought manifested by the flow of history of this ancient nation. He reverentially extolled Shivaji's endeavour to build the nation on the basis of Dharma and his dedication and renunciation. He has also glorified the martyrdom of Sikh Gurus and Banda Bairagi.
His essays are full of nationalistic thoughts. Like, 'Dharma' and religion are not equivalent concepts and religion cannot be the translation of 'Dharma'; our concept of 'Rashrtra' is different from the European concept of nation; Terminology based on European thoughts and paradigms is irrelevant in our context; Identity of Muslims and Christians in Bharat is 'Hindu'; we are solely responsible for our downfall because although we have a rich diversity of language, religion and regions we are divided on the parochial notions of the same; we are divided due to casteism, untouchability; etc. On several occasions he emphasized the need to rewrite the history of Bharat.
Patriotism was the soul of his poetry and music which later acquired the sobriquet 'Ravindra Sangeet'. He has effectively used all facets of literature - poetry, music, essays, short stories, novels and dramas- for social enlightenment. These very thoughts and music inspired the nationalist people fighting for freedom. It is a testimony to his futuristic vision that these very issues remain the themes of contemporary intellectual discourse.
The year 1901 saw the founding of 'Shantiniketan', a traditional Gurukula in its modern form. Many stalwarts of the nation were educated here. He addressed Margarate Noble, the disciple of Swami Vivekanand as 'Agnikanya Nivedita', the name which was later accepted and conferred on her by Swami Vivekanand. He also supported Nivedita's efforts for education of women. The movement against partition of Bengal forced by Lord Curzon had aroused a wave of patriotic fervor across the country. The Rakshabandhan festival on October 16, 1905 celebrated under the leadership of Ravindranath in Kolkata proved to be the starting point of this movement. This movement also triggered the Swadeshi movement. Ravindranath's writings give a forceful exposition of the idea behind Swadeshi. He himself sang Vandemataram in the Congress session.
He was the first Bharatiya to win the illustrious Nobel Prize in 1913 for his collection of poems 'Geetanjali' published in 1912. Geetanjali effectively reflects the ethos of the Vedas and the Upnishadas. He is the author of the 'Jan Gan Mana', the poem adopted as national anthem in our constitution after independence. He returned the title 'Nighthood' bestowed on him by the British government, in protest against the Jalianwala Bagh carnage. He vociferously opposed the reservation of separate assembly constituencies on the basis of religion. He took initiative in collecting funds from many peoples including Maharaja of Tripura in order to help Jagdishchandra Basu for his foreign travel.
Many national leaders of those days including Mahatma Gandhi held him as their source of inspiration owing to the unity of preaching and practice exemplified in his life and Mahatma Gandhi honoured him by the title 'Gurudev'.
The ABKM appeals to the countrymen to commemorate the occasion of his sesquicentennial birth anniversary to make his nationalist thoughts exert influence in contemporary Bharat.

Autonomy is like a post-dated cheque for another partition, which the country shall never accept.
