Kumar Ketkar is in serious trouble

Loksatta Editor Kumar Ketkar is in serious trouble as court cases
against him may stand within few days in Dapoli-Ratnagiri.Mr Ketkar
had written objectionable article in October last year for which three
legal notices were served to him.But Kumar Ketkar hadn't replied to
any of it so legal action is underway against him at various courts in
Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra.
This would be first time in Ketkar's life that he is in legal
trouble, earlier his residence has been attacked for his views but no
one had legally countered him till the date in his career as
journalist. Also after induction of Mr Girish Kuber in Loksatta as
executive editor Ketkar is facing tough time in press. He has been
cornered by Kuber in very effective manner.
Now according to sources Ketkar is joining Bhaskar's Marathi
edition Divya Bhaskar. But if he gets involved in serious legal matter
Bhaskar group won't afford to employ him.And more disturbing is the
fact that complainant in the case against Kumar
Ketkar,Mr.N.R.Shigwan,yesterday said in Mumbai that,if Bhaskar
appoints Ketkar in it's new venture,he would issue notice to Dainik
Bhaskar also as according to Mr.Shigwan,Kumar Ketkar is highly
obsessed with Hindu bashing and is involved in immoral
journalism, which would be legally and economically detrimental for
Dainik Bhaskar's new venture Divya Bhaskar. And Divya Bhskar won't
prefer to employ person like Kumar Ketkar who is indulged in to
serious legal matter at very beginning of the paper in Maharashtra.
Let's see how Ketkar defends himself in court of law.
