Church fueled & funded insurgency in North East India, said Khagen Das-former MP of CPI-M

Church fuelled & funded insurgency in North East India, said former MP of CPI-M
Agartala- Veteran leader of CPI-M and former MP of Indian Parliament Khagen Das said that church has been exploited by different external intelligence agencies to pump in funds for arming and organizing terrorism and insurgent movements and groups in Tripura and other North-East states of India.

Khagen Das was talking in reference to the insurgent activities and current demand for a independent tribal land in Tripura made by a newly floated tribal party called Indigenous People's Front of Tripura- IPFT.

"During peak of communal riots in 1980 and during violent extremist activities for about 30 years, it is proven beyond doubt that church involved. Money was pumped to India by Christian church to armed extremist," told Das.

Khagen Das also said that a group of church was actively aiding, fuelling and supporting tribal insurgent groups in not only the Tripura state but also whole North East region. But, he refused to mention specific name and details about steps taken by his government against such group of the churches, but in he said that declaration by Kim Davy,in court of law that (who is wanted in the case of the notorious Purulia arms dropping case in West Bengal. It is crystal clear, church is being used for pumping funds and arm consignments to militants specially in North-East India.

Khagen Das also added, "Kim Davy and Peter Bleach team who dropped consignment of arms in Puralia- West Bengal was in the spot in country and made a statement that he was not only dropped arms and ammunition in Puralia, in 1995- 1996, but had sent arms to other North-East terrorist and particularly Tripura extremist."

He specially thanked Tripura people for not supporting militant activities.
Earlier India's Hindutva Groups and RSS affiliated organizations were making allegations of Church- Militancy nexus, but no one was taking it seriously, now allegations made by Communists leader has forced Indians to believe upon it.

Belgium- Police Arrested two, over 'New Year's Eve terror attack plot'

http://www.newsbharati.com/ Belgium- Police Arrested two, over 'New Year's Eve terror attack plot'
Belgian police arrest two over 'New Year's Eve terror attack plot' Belgian police arrested two people in different parts of the country on Sunday and Monday, both suspected of plotting an attack against the police and key landmarks in Brussels on New Year's Eve, federal prosecutors have revealed. The investigation revealed "the threat of serious attacks that would target several emblematic places in Brussels and be committed during the end-of-year holidays," the prosecutor's office said. Belgian media, citing anonymous official sources, added that the attacks were to be aimed at the police headquarters near to Brussels's central square, the Grand Place, although official sources were still to confirm the precise targets. A source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, confirmed that the main square was thought to be the focus of the planned attack: "On the Grand Place, there are a lot of people, as well as soldiers and police who are patrolling, as well as a police station nearby," the source said. Police and soldiers in Brussels have also been ordered to take special precautions to ensure their own safety, said Benoit Ramacker, spokesman for the Belgian government's Crisis Centre. Police and army patrols were greatly beefed up in Brussels following the Paris attacks, and Ramacker said a new official threat assessment conducted on Monday evening after the latest searches and arrests concluded the officers and soldiers deployed to protect others from extremist attacks might become targets themselves "in the exercise of their functions". The arrests came hours after the Belgian authorities announced that they were moving to terror alert Level 3, which would remain in force until next week, indicating that an attack is "possible and likely" - the status is just one notch below the highest Level 4 alert of "serious and imminent" which caused Brussels to be placed in complete lockdown following November's attacks in Paris. During house searches in Brussels and a neighbouring province as well as Liege, a total of six people had been taken in for questioning but four of them had been released, they said yesterday. The remaining two, both understood to be male, were placed under arrest on charges including participation in the activities of a terrorist group as a leader or recruiter with the aim of committing terrorist offences as principal or secondary actor, the prosecutor's office said. Police found military clothing and Isil propaganda material but no weapons or explosives and the searches were not linked to the attacks in Paris in November, which killed 130 people, prosecutors said. The prosecutor's office also said computer material was seized and is being examined. The prosecutor's office said no additional details would be made public, but that the probe was not connected to the November 13 attacks in Paris, in which numerous suspects, including presumed ringleader Abdelhamid Abaaoud and fugitive Salah Abdeslam, had connections to Belgium. Prosecutors said in a statement yesterday that they uncovered "serious threats of attacks targeting several symbolic sites in Brussels which would be committed during the New Year's festivities. Maximum On November 21, the terror alert level for the Belgian capital area was temporarily raised to its maximum level after authorities announced they had received credible information that an attack could be imminent. Belgium has also been one of the leading sources in Europe for foreigners recruited to fight for Isil. In January, Belgian anti-terrorism units broke up what they said was an imminent attack on police by raiding a house in the eastern city of Verviers, killing two suspected jihadis and arresting a third. Their main quarry, however, was not there: Abdelhamid Abaaoud, who went on to become the suspected ringleader of the attacks in Paris. Brussels city leaders are expected to decide today whether the annual New Year's Eve fireworks display, scheduled for another central square near the Grand Place, should go ahead as scheduled.

Boris Nemtsov murder investigation-Ruslan Mukhudinov, A Chechen is mastermind

Boris Nemtsov murder investigators name Chechen mastermind
Russian opposition leader’s supporters dismiss claim as attempt to cover up potential involvement of high-level figures
The investigation into the murder of Boris Nemtsov is coming to a close, say Russian investigators, who named Ruslan Mukhudinov, the personal driver of a top commander of one of Chechnya’s armed battalions, as the mastermind behind the attack.
The opposition leader’s associates and supporters said the announcement showed the investigation had been an attempt to cover up the potential involvement of higher-level Chechen figures, right up to the region’s pro-Moscow leader, Ramzan Kadyrov.

Ilya Yashin, Nemtsov’s political ally, said: “The investigators are carrying out a political order to cover up the real culprits, not only the real mastermind but even the real organisers. Mukhudinov was an ordinary driver, it’s absolutely clear he was not the initiator of this crime.”

Vladimir Markin, a spokesman for the investigative committee, told news agencies that Mukhudinov was the “organiser and mastermind” behind the assassination.

Vadim Prokhorov, a lawyer for Nemtsov’s family, told Interfax that Mukhudinov could be a “low-level organiser” of the killing but he believed the hit was ordered by high-level officials.

“Besides, even Mukhudinov has not been caught, not been questioned and nobody knows where he is, so it’s impossible to say he ordered it,” Prokhorov said.
Nemtsov was shot outside the Kremlin as he walked home late at night with a female companion in February. The killing sent shockwaves through Russia’s opposition movement, and the president, Vladimir Putin, said the killers must be apprehended.

Five Chechen men were quickly arrested on charges of involvement in the killing. One, Zaur Dadayev, admitted involvement but later said his confession was made under duress. Dadayev was the deputy commander of one of Kadyrov’s battalions. Yashin said that the men behind bars may have been involved in the murder but as low-level pawns rather than the people who had planned and ordered it.

Mukhudinov is believed to have been the personal driver of Ruslan Geremeyev, who was a senior commander of the battalion. Investigators were unable to question Geremeyev, who was apparently kept under guard in Chechnya and is now believed to have left the republic. Mukhudinov is also on the run and has not been apprehended or questioned by investigators. Markin said it was only a matter of time before Mukhudinov was arrested.

Yashin said the investigation was proceeding well until the lead investigator was taken off the case and replaced over the summer – he believes to prevent the inquiry from coming too close to the Chechen leadership.

“The trail leads to Grozny and to the offices of top officials in Grozny,” said Yashin. “Ramzan Kadyrov should at the very least be questioned. It seems implausible that the top officers of his battalions would carry out a murder without at least informing him of it. Whether or not the trail stops at Kadyrov or whether it leads further, to offices in Moscow, that is an open question and should be worked on by the investigators.”

In October, Kadyrov denied any link to the Nemtsov murder and suggested the real killers were inside Nemtsov’s close circle. Geremeyev has not spoken out about the murder, but Kadyrov has previously said “everyone knows” that Geremeyev was not involved.
There have been a number of killings of Kadyrov’s personal enemies as far afield as Moscow, Dubai and Vienna in recent years, though the Chechen leader has denied involvement in all of them. Soon after the initial arrests, Kadyrov wrote on Instagram that Dadayev was a “patriot of Russia”. Shortly after the killing, Putin presented Kadyrov with a medal, interpreted by many as a sign that the investigation should not touch the Chechen leader.

Nemtsov, a former deputy prime minister, was a vocal if marginal figure in contemporary Russian politics. At the time of his death he was working on a report into Russian military involvement in the Ukraine conflict. The report was later published by Yashin.

Initially, leaks from the investigation claimed Nemtsov may have been killed for remarks he made in defence of the slain cartoonists of French magazine Charlie Hebdo, although his associates said this claim was also part of a cover-up to obscure political reasons for the murder.

Earlier this month, a Moscow court ruled that the murder was not political.

“During the course of the investigation we have positively established that the killing of Nemtsov was not in any way connected with his work as a state official, politician or public activist,” one of the investigators told the court, Interfax reported. The court agreed with the assessement.

In a recent column for the Moscow Times, Nemtsov’s daughter Zhanna Nemtsova said she believed her father was killed “for his views, for daring to express his position, for his unwillingness to be indifferent or apathetic”. She criticised Russian politicians and society for their unwillingness to demand an objective investigation into the case.

At his annual press conference earlier this month, Putin said he had not discussed the killing with Kadyrov because it was inappropriate. Of Nemtsov, he said: “I knew him personally and our relations had not always been bad. I never quarrelled with him but he chose this path of political competition by making personal attacks and the like ... However, this does not mean at all that the man should have been killed.”

Russian Airstrikes in Syria & US Leaders Praise Russian Cost-Effective Armed Campaign

Amid Airstrikes In Syria, US Officials Admire Russia's Cost-Effective Military Campaign

Senior members of the U.S. administration have praised Russia’s successful and cost-effective military campaign in Syria, undermining U.S. President Barack Obama’s statements from earlier this year that Moscow’s involvement in the war and attempts to prop up Syrian President Bashar Assad’s government would drain its resources and see its military stuck in a long, drawn-out fight.

"I think it's indisputable that the Assad regime, with Russian military support, is probably in a safer position than it was," a senior administration official who asked to remain anonymous told Reuters on Monday. Five other unidentified U.S. officials interviewed by Reuters also said Moscow’s mission had been successful so far while successfully keeping costs low.

Since Russia became militarily involved in the Syrian war at the end of September, it’s estimated that its annual costs will come in at about $1-2 billion, which it has managed to cover using its annual military budget of $54 billion rather than needing to borrow or take from other sources.

A separate analysis puts the cost closer to $3 billion, citing the downing of the Russian aircraft by a Turkish jet in November as the primary reason for the increase in cost. Moscow was forced to bring in advanced missile defense technology to quell any future attacks and bulk up its military presence in the region. "The Russians didn't go blindly into this," said one U.S. intelligence official, adding that Russia is "getting some benefit out of the cost" by using the war as a testing ground for some of its newest technology.

While the plummeting oil prices had generally been very bad for Russia’s economy, it forced the country to ensure that it spends wisely and doesn’t get involved in expensive foreign wars. Moscow has also been able to make use of stockpiled missiles dating back to before the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, according to Reuters.

"All the available data shows us that the current level of military effort is completely insignificant for the Russian economy and Russian budget," said Vasily Kashin, a Moscow-based analyst at the Center for Analysis of Strategies and Technologies. "It can be carried on at the same level year after year after year."

However, one official suggested that Putin might face similar problems to the U.S. in Iraq and Afghanistan if the war in Syria continues. Russia has not committed any ground troops in the same way the U.S. did during the two wars in the Middle East. Despite that, Obama warned in October that any “attempt by Russia and Iran to prop up Assad and try to pacify the population is just going to get them stuck in a quagmire and it won't work.”

The senior White House official that spoke with Reuters denied any contradiction between Obama's statement and the private analysis that Russia's campaign has been relatively effective so far. "I think the president's point has been ... it's not going to succeed in the long run," the official said. The Russians "have become bound up in a civil war in a way that's going to be extremely difficult to extricate themselves from."

Russia in Syria- Airstrikes on rebel Oil Tankers & Positions in Idlib, Syrian Civilian Causality Accused

Rights Group Says Russia May Have ‘Directly Attacked Civilians’ in Syria A new human rights report said at least 200 civilians have been killed by Russian airstrikes in Syria over a two-month period, and it suggested Moscow had in some cases specifically targeted noncombatants. The report, issued Wednesday by Amnesty International after a review of 25 attacks in Syria from September to November, also said the group found evidence that Russia had used cluster munitions, which could be a violation of international law. “In some attacks, the Russian armed forces appear to have directly attacked civilians or civilian objects by striking residential areas with no evident military objective and even medical facilities,” the report said. A spokesman for the Russian Defense Ministry called the Amnesty report “totally deceitful.” “It is all assumptions and no evidence,” the ministry spokesman, Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov, said in remarks reported by the Interfax news agency. The United States has said most Russian airstrikes have hit groups other than the State. The report highlighted six airstrikes in northwestern Syria in October and November, conducting telephone and Internet interviews with witnesses, human rights and medical groups, and analyzing video and photos from the ground. Five of the attacks reviewed hit residential areas and one struck “in the immediate vicinity” of a hospital, according to the report. The attacks took place in the areas of Homs, Idlib and Aleppo. To develop the list of suspected Russian airstrikes, the authors of the Amnesty report cross-referenced information from interviews and video footage from Syria with statements from the Russian government about targets it said it had struck. The Syrian government and coalition forces led by the United States are also conducting airstrikes in Syria. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a group based in Britain that tracks the conflict through contacts in Syria, says 260 civilians have been killed in coalition strikes. The White House has said that coalition forces are trying to avoid harming civilians while conducting strikes against militants. A Human Rights Watch report released this week also found evidence that the use of cluster munitions in Syria had increased since the start of the Russian air campaign. Neither Russia nor the United States are signatories to the Convention on Cluster Munitions. General Konashenkov, the Defense Ministry spokesman, said Amnesty International could not know whether or not there were military targets in a given area in Syria because its staff members were not present there. Few international groups operate in Syria for fear their staff members could be injured, killed or kidnapped. “They could not know it, nor could they verify it,” he said, according to Interfax. “What is known is that jihadists operate in Syria as highly mobile forces which use the infamous Toyota pickup trucks with mounted large-caliber weapons.” Toyota pickup trucks feature prominently in several State propaganda videos from Iraq, Syria and Libya. In October, ABC News reported that American counterterrorism officials had asked the Toyota company to look into how so many of its pickups appeared to have fallen into the hands of militants. The automaker said it was cooperating with the inquiry but could not track each vehicle after it was sold.

Kim Dotcom of MegaUpload to be Extradited to US, New Zealand Court Order

Everything About Kim Dotcom of Megaupload After bitter three years  U.S. Justice Dept might get its man. Its man, in this case, is the notorious owner of online storage locker Megaupload, Kim Dotcom. On Tuesday, a New Zealand judge said that Dotcom could be extradited to the U.S. to stand trial for a series of criminal charges including copyright infringement, racketeering, wire fraud, and money laundering. Dotcom has been in New Zealand fighting his extradition for three years since U.S. agents and New Zealand police officers burst into his New Zealand mansion in 2012 and cut through locks to get to Dotcom, who was in his secured panic room. The arrest included dozens of agents and two police helicopters. The agents seized 18 luxury vehicles, 150 terabytes of data, NZ$11 million in cash while arresting Dotcom and three other men. At that time, Megaupload was one of the largest online storage lockers, and according to Ars Technica, consumed more bandwidth on corporate networks than Box or even Dropbox. Yet, the company also appeared to follow many of the regular industry practices related to taking down infringing content when publishers requested it through what are known as takedown notices. However, in the indictment, the U.S. government accused Megaupload of having a “veneer of legality” that hid the fact that the company knew that its customers shared pirated files. The authorities even found emails from Megaupload employees that indicated they too searched for pirated content on the site. The government accused the company of generating more than $175 million through illegal activities. The world reacted to the raid with surprise. For one, it felt like overkill to send helicopters after Dotcom, but two, the world of file sharing and pirating content was changing rapidly. Thanks to streaming services like Spotify, Rdio and others on the music side, going legit was often easier than wading through torrents or surfing the dark web. Meanwhile for movies and TV shows, people could sign up for Netflix, Hulu, Amazon’s Prime TV, or pay to watch individual videos through iTunes. There’s also options that let people stream content where they wanted and when they wanted. Borrowing a password to your parent’s cable network was a lot easier than trying to find last night’s Breaking Bad episode on Megaupload or BitTorrent. Yet, industry trade groups like the Recording Industry Association of America and the Motion Picture Association of America, both of which have also sued Dotcom in civil court, were still fighting copyright infringement as the Internet continued to threaten their business models. They also were behind the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) and its companion bill in the Senate, the Protect IP Act (PIPA) which worried tech industry and privacy advocates. The raid on Dotcom’s house came one day after several large sites on the web went dark to protest the possible passage of these laws. They didn’t pass. In the month leading up to the Megaupload shut down, the recording industry was doubly incensed because of a video Dotcom uploaded to the Internet that suggested that his company received 4% of overall web traffic daily. It featured cameos from Kanye West, Will.i.am, Serena Williams and Jamie Foxx. Thus in terms of the timing and even in terms of the legal arguments, the U.S. government’s attack on the website felt like it was acting as an arm of the recording industry and Hollywood. Why else go so heavy and so hard against Megaupload, with a case that to some experts seemed overblown. The U.S. has lost a few skirmishes since the case began, such as having its raid declared illegal. Authorities had to give back the hard drives it seized as well as some of the property, including some of the luxury cars. It also has been forced to watch as Dotcom started another file sharing service in 2013, this one called Mega, which now also offers encrypted chat. Meanwhile, the Internet moves on, and arguably the biggest threat to the music industry isn’t piracy anymore. Rather it is figuring out how to make money in a world where selling single songs are the business model instead of selling entire albums. As for movies, piracy is still an issue. But a bigger challenge is creating films that get people into theaters.

Ramadi Battle- Iraqi Troops Advancing amid Heavy Coalition Airstrikes

https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#inbox/151cc791c8e3dd68?compose=151ccc4152cb41e4 Iraqi Forces Fighting for Ramadi Push Toward City Center BAGHDAD — An assault by Iraqi forces to wrest control of Ramadi from the State reached the edges of the city center Tuesday night in a battle that was months in the making and a critical test for the Iraqi government. Accompanied by heavy American airstrikes, the push into the city by a mix of Iraqi soldiers, police officers and Sunni tribal fighters began overnight. Iraqi officials described the assault as a fierce urban battle, with their forces facing car bombs, sniper fire and explosive traps. Around 300 State fighters are believed to be hunkered down in the northern reaches of the city. If Iraqi forces manage to reassert control over Ramadi — the provincial capital of Anbar Province, in the Sunni Arab heartland — it would be the most important of a series of military setbacks for the State since its explosive expansion across Iraq that began with the capture of Mosul last year. Last month, Kurdish and Yazidi forces assaulted the northern city of Sinjar, driving out fighters with the State, also known as The capture of Ramadi, 60 miles from Baghdad, would give the government of Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi a badly needed morale lift, and a successful cooperative effort with the country’s alienated Sunnis. But more important, it would allow his often disparaged military to reverse a humiliating loss. Ramadi fell to the State in May, in a sudden collapse after a long battle that exposed multiple weaknesses in the government’s ability to fight the militants, including stark military shortfalls and disorganization, and an unwillingness by the government to arm or send reinforcements to help Sunni tribesmen who were fighting the militants. The rapid advances on Monday and Tuesday held out hope that after months of preparation, the government had finally marshaled a large enough force to prevail in Ramadi and begin a wider operation to fight the State in other areas of Anbar Province. “I think the fall of Ramadi is inevitable,” Col. Steven H. Warren, the United States military spokesman here, said Tuesday. But he added, “That said, it’s going to be a tough fight.” Other crucial battles, like the ones for Tikrit and Baiji, dragged on for weeks or months, and it remained to be seen whether the State would quickly melt away. Over the past month or so, Iraqi security forces and tribal fighters have encircled Ramadi. Two weeks ago, they seized a large neighborhood, Tamim, on its southwestern outskirts. “We went into the center of Ramadi from different axes, and we started clearing residential areas,” Gen. Sabah al-Numani, a spokesman for the army counterterrorism unit in charge of the offensive, said in a statement Tuesday. He predicted that “the city will be cleared within the coming 72 hours.” Six hundred to 1,000 State fighters were said to have been in Ramadi when the offensive began two weeks ago, but several hundred of them have been killed in heavy fighting since then, according to Iraqi and Western officials. Those remaining did not appear to be giving up easily. They destroyed three bridges over the Euphrates River to prevent security forces from entering the city, according to Gen. Ahmed al-Belawi, the leader of a battalion of Sunni tribal fighters. Colonel Warren said that Iraqi forces had crossed the river by deploying “floating bridges” capable of moving fighters and heavy equipment across the water, as American troops had trained them to do. Al Jazeera reported that 14 soldiers and 17 tribal fighters were killed by a suicide car bomber in Albu Diab, northwest of the city center, and that at least 12 militants had been killed. MSNBC released a video that it said showed an State counterattack on the eastern edge of the city, and it quoted a tribal fighter saying that at least seven State militants had been killed. Those casualty numbers could not be independently confirmed. Iraqi airplanes dropped leaflets on Sunday urging residents of Ramadi to evacuate

South China Sea- China warned US of B-52 Bomber's provocative flypast

US Air force 2 B-52 long range bombers flew very close to artificial islands built by China in South China Sea, which China
termed as serious and grave military provocation, as diplomatic tensions brewed in the disputed South China Sea waterway. China repeatedly insists that it has sovereignty and exclusive rights over all of the resourceful and rich sea, which have
conflicting claims by several Asian neighboring countries, where US aggressive Naval activity in the disputed area has angered Beijing several times in recent few months.
Two US Military B-52 heavy bombers transgressed Chinese air space in the morning of December 10,  over the Chinese islands of Nansha without proper permission, explained Chinese defense ministry official, Nansha is Chinese name coined to the Spratlys Islands.
Such aggressive behavior is a serious and grave military provocation by USA which will complicate situation in the disputed South China Sea, eventually leading to heavy militarization of the disputed region, Chinese ministry warned in a statement.
During a regular mission by US military's two B-52 bombers, one of it unintentionally cruised within just two nautical miles of artificially built islands, published the Wall Street Journal quoting senior Pentagon officials.
Chinese defense ministry further said: "The United States military has repeatedly sailed military warships and fighters to exhibit brute force and to foment tensions in the disputed waters and Chinese airspace in the South China Sea.
China warned, Chinese military will boldly take all measures needed to safeguard Chinese sovereignty and security.

The US is openly criticizing China for constructing artificial islands in the disputed South China Sea, and has always flying fighter jets and B-52 bombers, also sailed US Navy's guided-missile destroyer in close range of the constructed islands in recent months under the tag of Freedom of Navigation Exercise.

USA has clarified that China's attempts to change geographical structure in the archipelago of Spratlys, posing dire threat to freedom of navigation within international waters.

Chinese forces carried out war games in the disputed area last week, with fighter jets, warships and submarines deployed over a several thousand square kilometers area, quoted People's Liberation Army Newspaper.

China is in locked horn position with the Philippines, Vietnam, Brunei, Malaysia and Taiwan over ownership and rights on Spratlys islands.

South China Sea- China Accuses US of 'Provocative' B-52 Bomber Flypast

http://www.newsbharati.com/ South China Sea- China Accuses US of 'Provocative' B-52 Bomber Flypast.

Two US B-52 bombers flew close to islands in the flashpoint South China Sea last week in a "serious military provocation", Beijing said today, as tensions simmer in the disputed waterway.

China insists it has sovereignty over virtually all of the resource-rich sea, conflicting with the various claims of several neighbouring nations, and US activity in the area has provoked Beijing's ire several times in recent months.

"In the morning of 10 December, two US B-52 bombers entered air space over the Chinese Nansha islands and nearby areas without authorisation," Beijing's defence ministry said, using the Chinese name for the Spratly Islands.

"This behaviour is a serious military provocation which complicates the general situation in the South China Sea, (contributing) to the militarisation of the region," the ministry said in a statement.

During a mission by the two B-52 bombers last week, one of the aircraft unintentionally flew within two nautical miles of an artificially constructed island, the Wall Street Journal quoted Pentagon officials as saying yesterday.

This may have been because of bad weather conditions, according to officials quoted in the newspaper.

Beijing's defence ministry added: "The United States has continuously sent military ships and planes to make a show of force and create tensions in the waters and airspace" of the South China Sea.

"The Chinese army will take all necessary measures to defend the sovereignty and the security of the country."

The US is critical of China for building artificial islands in the disputed sea, and has flown other B-52 bombers and sailed a guided-missile destroyer near some of the constructions in recent months.

Washington has said China's transformation of the geographical features in the Spratly Islands poses a threat to freedom of navigation in the critical body of water.

China's military conducted war games in the area this week, with warships, submarines and fighter jets deployed over a "range of several thousand kilometres", the People's Liberation Army Daily said.

Beijing insists it has sovereignty over virtually all of the resource-rich South China Sea, conflicting with the various claims of Vietnam, Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan and Brunei.

Russian Airstrikes on ISIS by Sineva Missile from Verkhoturye Submarine in Syria

Vladimir Putin Says Russia Backs Free Syrian Army Alongside Bashar al-Assad Troops
President Vladimir Putin said on Friday Russia is supporting the opposition Free Syrian Army, providing it with air cover, arms and ammunition in joint operations with Syrian troops against Islamist. His statement appeared to be the first time Moscow said it was actually supporting Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's opponents in the fight against State forces. Putin said last month the Russian air force had hit several "terrorist" targets identified by the Free Syrian Army. A few hours later, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters that Putin had been talking about weapons supplies to the armed forces loyal to Assad. But Peskov did not say Putin had been mistaken or misquoted about supplies to the Free Syrian Army and did not deny weapons were going to the opposition force. Western and Arab states carrying out air strikes against State for more than a year say that Russian jets have mainly hit other rebel forces in the west of Syria. "The work of our aviation group assists in uniting the efforts of government troops and the Free Syrian Army," Putin told an annual meeting at the defence ministry. "Now several of its units numbering over 5,000 troops are engaged in offensive actions against terrorists, alongside regular forces, in the provinces of Homs, Hama, Aleppo and Raqqa," he said, referring to the Free Syrian Army. "We support it from the air, as well as the Syrian army, we assist them with weapons, ammunition and provide material support." When asked if Putin had been speaking about the Free Syrian Army, Peskov replied: "Please do not cling to meanings in this case. Such an interpretation is possible." "Russia supplies weapons to the legitimate authorities of the Syrian Arab Republic," he said. Putin said strikes by Russia's air force and navy had inflicted heavy damage on the infrastructure of State, which controls large areas of eastern Syria and western Iraq. Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu said, however, that the influence of State was increasing in Syria, where militants control roughly 70 percent of the country. The number of State fighters in Iraq and Syria is about 60,000, Shoigu said, and there is a threat of violence spilling over into post-Soviet Central Asia and the Caucasus. Talking to his generals, Putin issued a veiled warning to Turkey, whose downing of a Russian bomber jet near the Syrian-Turkish border last month sent bilateral relations to a freezing point and led Moscow to impose economic sanctions to Istanbul. "I want to warn those who may again try to stage provocations against our troops," he said. "I order you to act in an extremely tough way. Any targets threatening Russia's (military) group or our land infrastructure must be immediately destroyed," Putin told the generals. Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu on Friday called on Russia for calm, but said Turkey's patience is not unlimited.

Russia declared plans to sell crude oil $40 a barrel for coming seven years to tackle Saudi Arabia

In latest warning to Saudi Arabia which is at war with Russia over oil market share race Russia is preparing for collapse in oil sell revenues, as chances are high that oil could plunge to as low as $40 a barrel for at least next seven years. Russian deputy finance minister Maxim Oreshkin told that Russia is preparing scheme based on oil's fluctuating price. If it continues for long time, then it might prove devastating for OPEC nations. Also it would be disastrous for North Sea producers,to off shore oil exploration of Brazil and cash strapped Western oil producers. but Russia lives in different business climate, he said while talking to Vedomosti, a Russian newspaper. The latest shocker came from Russia, at the time when US crude prices collapsed to $35.56, due to continuing mistakes from hegemonic Organisation of Petroleum Exporting nations. Bank of America warned about risk of all out price war between OPEC nations itself as Iran and Saudi Arabia are fighting
bloody strategic rivalry using oil market.
Brent crude prices dropped to $37.41, though marginally growing demands. This price is lowest after collapse of the Lehman Brothers in early 2009. Though it is positive for world economy facing crisis. The International Energy Agency categorically mentioned that OPEC has ceased to work as umbrella organization and every producer producing oil at its will, without regulations, to settle the scores with others. OPEC oil revenues may fall to about $400bn (£263bn) current year if present oil prices continues, it was $1.2 trillion during 2012. $40 warning by Russia is the latest outbreak in a price war between Saudi Arabia and Russia, which are already in confrontation mode over Syria. The Russian emergency plans convey strong and unambiguous message to Saudi and other OPEC members that the Russia can thrive well even with very low crude oil prices for long time, as a result of floating rouble, which safeguards internal budget. Saudi Arabia is dragged in by a fixed currency exchange rates, pushing it to loose precious

foreign currency reserves to cover up a fiscal deficit, which are 20pc of its GDP. Russia enjoys strategic depth to sustain very long siege. It is pushing an import-substitution policy to give fillip to its engineering and industrial sector. Russian deputy PM Arkady Dvorkovich, earlier said that OPEC will be forced to correct track. They can sustain just for few months.
Kremlin officials smells that ultimate goal of Saudi Arabian policy is to drag Russia to OPEC. Russia termed it as OPEC bluff, and warned that Russia have greater endurance. Russia won't cut output as its big producers are globally listed companies, which are answerable to stakeholders. Mr Dvorkovich flatly said that they are not going to slash oil supply artificially. Crude Oil companies will work out their own plans. They

will decide on invest more or less as per market conditions. If prices remains low, oil companies will act to stabilize production or to cut crude production. The latest crude oil war may witness exhausted foreign currency stocks in Russia and economy may take nose dive and on the other hand it may show the world totally bankrupted gulf nations.

National Herald Case, Congress MPs Scattered over Sonia Strategy, BJP planning All Out Agitation

After assorting to burst of anti BJP noise and disturbing Parliament over National Herald Matter, a group of Congress MPs are thrashing Congress strategy of disrupting the proceedings over an NH issue which is sub judicial. Tough Mamata Banerjee's TMC is gearing up to ally with Congress and left Parliament to support Congress. Congress blamed “political vendetta”, but many Congress MPs think that it is not political maturity take a legal fight in Parliament terming it revenge. If BJP wants to suppress opposition voices by suppressing us, you cannot threaten us.” Congress Game plan The Congress has strong idea after the National Herald case dealt a severe blow to party No.1 & 2, Sonia and Rahul Gandhi , convert it in to emotional mode. This is not simple case, it's linked to honor, it's vendetta against a mother and son devoid of power. A Delhi court ordered Congress president Sonia Gandhi and vice president Rahul Gandhi and five accused in the National Herald Matter to physically appear before court on December 19, 2015. The NH case hit headlines in the US newspaper Wall Street Journal. Court bitterly ordered, to make it confirm that all accused in NH case be appear on December 19. After over a week of civil legal debates in Parliament, both Upper and Lower Houses returned to chaotic scenes, hurdles and disruptions. As Delhi High Court scrapped a plea challenging the personal summons issued to Congress high command Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi in National Herald case. The initial reaction of Congress was drafted by their legal team, was quintessentially legal one. But drawing and invoking Indira Spirit converted the legal attle and legal matter to political and emotional rather than legal, triggering political Tamasha in and out of Parliament. Ambitious GST indirect Tax bill by BJP might suffer lethal blow with Congress pledged to shot it in lieu of National Herald Case. As Gandhis are under attack and the NSUI and Youth Congress cadres are out on streets, most likely Parliament session will vapored away, uselessly. Congress leaders consistently claiming that Subramaniam Swamy, complainant in National Herald case just puppet main conspirator is at 7, RCR, i.e. PM Modi. With possibility of India's prominent first political family likely to physically appear in court, the accusations of corruption and embezzlement are creating a political fire. In the year 2012, BJP leader Subramanian Swamy registered legal complaint before a Patiala House court, accusing Congress leaders for involvement in fraud and cheating through the acquisition of company AJL by Young Indian Pvt Ltd. Company YIL paid just Rs 50 lakh aimed at recovering amount of Rs 90 crore that AJL owed to Congress Party. The present value of the properties in possession of National Herald, the scam could be near about Rs 1,600 crore to Rs 5,000 crore. -The case witnesses many turns and shift. In August 2015 reports suggested that the ED coming to close the case, for lack of substantial evidences against Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. Though ED director Rajan Katoch axed from service as reports surfaced. In September 2015, ED once again decided to reopen the NH case. The Delhi High Court now rejected the petition filed by the Gandhi mother son duo challenging court summons. It means they must have to appear before the Patiala House court.
